parler — TO TALK

[par-LE] (v.) Every learned American knows that we govern far better than the British do, with their silly monarchs and all. While our congressmen go to gay bars and glad hand lobbyists, those silly Brits at the Parliament do nothing but talk, talk, talk till their powdered wigs itch. One might even say, it's all pomp and parlance on the other side of the pond. Well, maybe they learned it from the French. After all, parler is the word for to talk.
